The era of "Rasputins": What happened to you, America?! - by Michael Novakhov

What happened to you, America?!

Donald Trump Requests Security Clearance for Son-in-Law Jared Kushner

Later Trump denied these reports in his tweet:

I am not trying to get "top level security clearance" for my children. This was a typically false news story.

However, the questions and doubts, including the Kushner' role (and his personality, motivations, alliances, and allegiances; and also his hidden agenda, if any), do persist, at least for me.

"Mr. Kushner is likely to wield great influence over the new president regardless of whether he holds a formal title. Mr. Kushner, who has no experience in politics or government, often has the final word in advising Mr. Trump."

"During the campaign, Mr. Kushner was a behind-the-scenes negotiator between feuding factions inside and outside the campaign, while campaign managers and Republican support came and went. His closeness to Mr. Trump now has lawmakers, potential administration appointees and business leaders reaching out to him in recent days, people in the transition team said...
Perhaps his most important role, though, is that of son-in-law, in which he meets Mr. Trump’s need to talk shop constantly. The president-elect skips small talk, which was true even when the family left Trump Tower on Tuesday night, leaving the transition press pool behind, for a celebratory dinner at the 21 Club in Manhattan. Messrs. Trump and Kushner, along with the family, spent most of the evening discussing the president-elect’s thinking on who would be his secretaries of Treasury, Defense and other key departments, advisers said."

Do these traits and proclivities "run in the family"?

Trump son-in-law Kushner reportedly targeting Christie:

...political scientist Ross Baker: “I have to believe it’s a Kushner revenge.’’

"Kushner has been rubbing allies the wrong way in his recent efforts to purge the transition team of Christie associates, sources say.
Kushner's father was prosecuted by then-US Attorney Christie in 2004 for tax evasion, witness tampering and illegal campaign contributions."

"Jared, the CEO of Kushner Companies and the publisher of the New York Observer, has been called someone who

"enjoys a Rasputin-like power" with Trump.

He is seen as a "de facto campaign manager" and "Donald Trump's mini-me." His position is unlikely to change. Of Jared's involvement in the Trump presidency, spokesperson Hope Hicks told the Associated Press, "People are hopeful that will continue in the administration."

"Jared was studying to get a dual MBA and law degree at New York University (Charles's alma mater and the recipient of another notable donation of $3 million) when his father was sent to prison for tax fraud, witness tampering, and illegal campaign donations. Jared took over Kushner Companies as CEO in 2008 when he was 27 years old, abandoning his legal aspirations. "My dad’s arrest made me realize I didn’t want to be a prosecutor anymore," Jared told The Real Deal in 2014. "Seeing my father’s situation, I felt what happened was obviously unjust in terms of the way they pursued him. I just never wanted to be on the other side of that and cause pain to the families I was doing that to, whether right or wrong. The moral weight of that was probably a bit more than I could carry."

"He seems to have an appetite for revenge.

On Monday, Christie loyalist former Congressman Mike Rogers suddenly resigned from the transition team. It was reported by NBC News to be part of a "Stalinesque purge" of anyone close to Christie."

During his trip to a restaurant on 11.15.16 (apparently, for the "therapeutic" purposes: to deal with his rage; food is the very unhealthy addiction for many of us), our little Trumpik made an interesting statement, somewhat ominous, and most likely figurative, and as I felt, responding to my little panegyric to him, and probably to many other things that made him enraged.
"Don't worry, we'll lower your taxes", he said, apparently meaning: "Don't worry, boy, we'll give you a little haircut, a crew cut, and will get the sufficient supplies of J.C. Crew shampoo for men for you, too. "

Trump looks enraged and scared on this picture, after his trip to a restaurant,
and he is for now in front of the bars...

Get used to it, baby! Learn to live with it!
There are no kings over America!
People will speak up their minds, regardless of what and how you feel about it.

I thought that this statement of his might have been just my hallucination and a part of my persistent political psychosis, but it sounded very real. I also heard a little voice from aside (maybe it was my voice, internal or external; or maybe it was someone else's voice, more significant than mine), that whispered in response, calmly but clearly:
"Don't you worry, Trumpik, we will find out more about YOUR taxes, and will increase them, too."
Isn't it a very crazy thing to hear?

But, then, isn't it a very crazy thing to hear about the request of the "top secret security clearance" for Jared Kushner? I am not involved and am not a specialist in these matters at all, but it sounds very crazy to me, and I would not be surprised if it sounded even more crazy to many other people, and among them to those who are the specialists in these matters. If this request is seriously considered, or God forbids, if it is granted, I would feel that our collective political psychosis reached its apex, at least at the present time.
Did the American political life enter some type of a truly mad: self-destructive, insane, impossible to comprehend, masochistic streak?

Did we enter some type of the "Rasputinshina" period of the American politics and history?

One "Rasputin" after another, one nightmare after another, first from the Islamophilic left, then from the Russophilic right. The boat rocks from side to side in this crazy, truly mad pattern. Is this pattern in itself a part of the sophisticated hostile design?

Who and what is "Jared Kushner" from the viewpoints of security and the "top secret level" of the security clearance? Even if this clearance is not granted, as it thankfully looks now, the "top secrets" could be known to Kushner from Trump's "horse's mouth" itself.

How would you deal with this situation?
Would you limit the scope and content of his briefings?
How would the government function?

Is "Jared" just another "Jarrett", but the same "Rasputin"?

Does anyone, among the specialists, have an answer to these questions, or at least some type of an explanation?

Mr. Clapper? Mr. Brennan? Mr. Comey?

What happened to you, America?!

I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch
I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you
