Hillary Clinton will likely not be charged with any criminal wrongdoing after the FBI completes their investigation into her private email server, CNN reports. The former Secretary of State sat down with FBI investigators Saturday morning for three and a half hours, in what is broadly considered tho be the final stages of the investigation.
A Senior Producer at the CNN, Edward Mejia Davis, posted the news that Clinton is not expected to be charged to Twitter, citing unnamed sources who spoke with CNN's Evan Perez:
In a later article, CNN reported Clinton's meeting with the FBI at the Department of Justice headquarters in Washington, D.C., "signals the investigation is coming to an end, and sources tell CNN the expectation is Clinton will not face charges."
As is also being widely reported by various mainstream media outlets, CNN notes that sometime in "the next two weeks or so, the expectation is there will be an announcement of no charges being brought against Clinton so long as no evidence of wrongdoing emerges from her interview with the FBI, sources familiar with the investigation told CNN."
"CNN has previously reported no charges were expected to be brought against Clinton because the investigators had not found evidence to warrant charges, according to multiple law enforcement officials. A Democrat close to Clinton said Saturday the campaign believes the FBI will announce its decision before the conventions."
Additionally, MSNBC's Chuck Todd, in an exclusive telephone interview with Clinton after her FBI meeting, grilled the former Secretary of State and former U.S. Senator, and after seven minutes, told her that "news sources" have reported she will not be charged. Clinton refused to comment, stating she will allow the investigation to take its course.
Donald Trump went berserk, tweeting in response to the news Clinton is not expected to be charged, claiming "the system" is "rigged."
Earlier Saturday, Trump had tweeted an anti-Semetic meme with the Star of David embossed over a bed of $100 bills, and the claim, "History Made, Most Corrupt Candidate Ever."
NCRM in reporting on Trump's vile tweet, noted that it reeks of old anti-Jewish attacks during Hitler's rise to power, and an ugly and false belief among some – mostly neo-Nazis today – that Jewish people control all the wealth in the world.
Right wing pundit Hugh Hewitt, who has had an especially sharp sword at the ready for Clinton, also went berserk on Twitter:
Republican Party Chairman Reince Priebus also took to Twitter to unleash his fury:

The corrupting crusade against ‘corruption’

The progressive drive to broadly define and thoroughly eradicate political “corruption” has corrupted politics. But discord is not altogether pandemic in Washington, and last week a unanimous Supreme Court, in this term’s most important decision, limited the discretion prosecutors have to criminalize politics.

ABC: Investigation of Clinton in Final Stages, DOJ Trying to Conclude Case Before Conventions

ABC’s Pierre Thomas reported Sunday that the Department of Justice is in the final stages of their investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server and potential criminal mishandling of classified information, saying they are trying to wrap it up before the political conventions begin later this month.
The FBI interviewed Clinton Saturday for three-and-a-half hours. Thomas said the FBI wanted to know why Clinton set up the private server in the first place, who if anyone signed off on it, and if there were discussions about how to keep classified information off that “unusual” system.
“This FBI investigation’s gone on for many months, and they want to compare what Secretary Clinton knows to what was found during the investigation,” he said.
He said the legal standard for indictment was criminal intent to mishandle classified information, not simply sloppiness.
“I’m told that one of the reasons the investigation took so long is because the FBI went back and looked at the access Clinton aides had to secure computer networks that contained classified information,” he said. “They wanted to know if those aides took classified information from the secure locations and then emailed it to the secretary on her non-secure private email system. They dissected everything.”
This Week host Martha Raddatz, guessing Clinton was one of the last people interviewed by the FBI, wondered how close the investigation was to being concluded.
“They are clearly in the final stages,” he said. “I’m told Justice Department officials want this resolved before the conventions start in just about two weeks. Whether they’ll make that deadline remains to be seen. I recently spoke to a former senior Justice official who was critical that this was being resolved so close to the conventions.”
The Republican National Convention will be held July 18-21 in Cleveland, Ohio, while the Democrats were hold theirs July 25-28 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
